HON. DICKSON KYERE-DUAH MP FOR BEREKUM WEST CONSTITUENCY
Hon. Dickson Kyere-Duah is a respected Ghanaian politician and seasoned public relations professional, currently serving as the Member of Parliament for the Berekum West Constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Born in Jinijini on Tuesday, 5th February 1974, Hon. Kyere-Duah has built a dynamic career that bridges education, environmental sustainability, and public communication.
His academic journey began at Sunyani Senior High School, where he completed his studies in December 1993. Fueled by a strong passion for science and community development, he earned a Bachelor of Education in Science from the University of Education, Winneba in August 2003. His pursuit of excellence led him to the United Kingdom, where he earned an MSc in Waste Management from Glasgow Caledonian University in November 2009. Hon. Kyere-Duah later earned a Master of Arts in Public Relations from the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UNIMAC) in October 2021 and was officially accredited by the Institute of Public Relations Ghana in January 2022.
Throughout his professional career, Hon. Kyere-Duah served in various capacities at Sunyani Technical University. These roles included Head of Public Relations, Public Relations Officer, Facilities and Environmental Manager, Acting Estate Officer, and Environment and Sanitation Officer. His leadership was marked by forward-thinking strategies in campus administration, communication, and sustainable facility management. Additionally, his contributions as a lecturer and instructor reflect his continued commitment to shaping young minds and promoting academic excellence.
His early work as a teacher with the Ghana Education Service at Wamasamfo L/A JHS, and later as an intern at Twene Amanfo Senior High School in Sunyani, laid the foundation for his lifelong dedication to public education and youth empowerment.
In Parliament, Hon. Kyere-Duah brings deep expertise in science, education, and social communication to advocate for community development, environmental reform, and effective public dialogue. Known for his clarity of thought, collaborative spirit, and dedication to service, he has become a trusted voice within his constituency and across Ghana’s national landscape.
