As part of ongoing efforts to promote good sanitation and improve public health in the district, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Berekum West, Hon. Dickson Kyere-Duah (Stugard), in collaboration with the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Collins Asoma (Colley), has successfully overseen the evacuation of a major refuse dump at Domfete.

During the exercise, both leaders emphasized the importance of sanitation as a cornerstone of development. Hon. Kyere-Duah noted that the intervention demonstrates government’s commitment to addressing pressing local concerns, while Hon. Asoma assured residents that the Assembly will continue to prioritize sanitation projects across the district.
Community members expressed gratitude for the initiative, highlighting that the evacuation will reduce health risks, improve the town’s outlook, and encourage responsible waste management practices.
The exercise forms part of a broader district-wide sanitation campaign aimed at fostering environmental cleanliness, preventing disease outbreaks, and enhancing the quality of life for all residents of Berekum West.
